Sedro-Woolley Cruises Past White River, 27-7
Sedro-Woolley showed why they’ve been one of the state’s top teams, rolling past the White River Hornets 27-7 on Saturday to remain undefeated at 11-0.
The Hornets struck first, but the Cubs quickly seized control. Facing a critical 4th and 14, Cliff Tadema delivered a clutch strike to Kolyn Rochester, tying the game and giving Sedro-Woolley momentum. Tadema would find Rochester again in the second quarter to give the Cubs a 14-7 lead heading into halftime.
Sedro-Woolley’s offense stayed unstoppable in the second half. In the fourth quarter, Tadema powered in from five yards out, extending the lead to 21-7. Rochester capped off the scoring with his third touchdown, a five-yard run, pushing the final margin to 27-7.
The victory keeps the Cubs perfect at 11-0, continuing a season-long offensive streak in which they’ve averaged 31.1 points per game. Meanwhile, White River suffers their first loss of the season, falling to 10-1.
Up next, Sedro-Woolley will face a tough test against O’Dea on Friday as they aim to maintain their unbeaten run.
