Spartans Roll Over Snohomish, Stay Unbeaten in League

The Spartans rallied with a mix of power and precision to defeat Snohomish 25-19, 25-15, 21-25, 25-22 and remain unbeaten in Wesco 3A/2A North play at 7-0 (9-1 overall).

Stanwood’s balanced attack was on full display, led by Whitney Longspaugh’s 18 kills and Cambrielle Brown’s 11, including a diving pancake save that kept a rally alive and led to one of Longspaugh’s kills. Setter Addison Bowie orchestrated the offense with 40 assists, including a perfect set to Marlee Cumbee for a key second-set kill. Harper Neyens added 10 kills, and five Spartans finished with nine or more digs, paced by Kylee Brown’s 14.

Despite a strong showing from Snohomish’s Heidi Chambers, who recorded 15 kills and 14 digs, the Panthers couldn’t match Stanwood’s timely plays and depth. With the win, the Spartans continue to roll through league play, showing why they’re one of the top teams in the Wesco 3A/2A North.
