Anacortes Seahawks advance to the 2nd round of the District 1 2A Baseball Tournament.
The Anacortes Seahawks defeated the Squalicum Storm 11-1 in 5 innings.. Good hitting and aggressive baserunning took advantage of several Squalicum Errors.
The Burlington Edison Tigers win 1st round of the District 1 2A Baseball Tournament
Good pitching and aggressive base running earn the Burlington Edison Tigers a 4-1 win over the Lakewood Tigers. Tiger Pitcher ,Tyler Walker,held the Lakewood Cougars to just one run.
Stanwood Fastpitch defeats Everett 3-0
Another good outing in the pitching circle for Addi Anderson. She threw a one-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts to lead the Spartans. Stanwood also enjoyed timely hitting lead by, Regan Ryan who went 2-3 with a 1st inning Home Run. Jordan Rancourt also went 2-for-3 with an RBI. Stanwood can win the Wesco North outright by avenging its lone league loss to Snohomish on Wednesday.
Stanwood Soccer Drops Their final game to Marysville-Pilchuck 4-2
Stanwood would come from behind to take a 2-1 lead at the half against Marysville-Pilchuck, with goals from Landon Falor and Brander Standish. But it would not be enough to hold back the Tomahawks, as the Tommies score 3 in the second half to get the win.
Stanwood Ends Their Regular Season with a 6-1 Win over Monroe to Earn the Wesco North Title.
Good Pitching and defense and timely hitting earned the Spartans a 6-1 win over the Monroe Bearcats. Tanner Requa went the distance on the mound for Stanwood, limiting the Bearcats to just one run. Brayden Wammack started the scoring for Stanwood with a two RBI double in the 2nd inning. With the win the Spartans finish with a 9-1 record in the Wesco North, and earned the Wesco North Championship.
Stanwood Spartans Softball Team’s 10th inning magic produces 4 runs to get a 4-1 win over Monroe.
Pitching and defense was the story for both teams when Stanwood played Monroe. The Game was scoreless until the top of the 10th inning, when Anderson hit an RBI-double to center field, scoring the extra-innings automatic runner Jemma Lopez to finally break things open 1-0. Later in the inning Megan Stulc hits a two RBI home run to give Stanwood a 4-0 lead.
In the bottom of the 10th Monroe would score their ghost runner. and get two runner on base. Then Addi Anderson shut them down Anderson punched out the next two batters to notch her 10th and 11th strikeouts, stranding two runners.
With the Win, the Spartans are at the top of the Wesco North and will go to the Quarter finals in the District 1 3A Softball Tournament, and avoid the play-in game.
Baseball: Mount Vernon Blows Away Sedro Woolley
It was a 10-0 win for the Bulldogs thanks to some big offense from the Mount Vernon club.

Mount Vernon took on Sedro Woolley on the road and beat the Cubs 5-1, thanks to a pair of goals from Eli Natekin.
Snohomish defeats Stanwood 2-1 in a close game
Stanwood Scored 1st with a Landon Falor goal to give the Spartans a 1-0 lead. But it was not enough as the Snohomish Panthers score two to get the win

Burlington-Edison’s offense came alive to light up Lynden Christian 6-1 at home in NWC High School Baseball on TCSN. It was Cody Roetisoender that opened up the scoring with this RBI single in the first inning.
Stanwood Scores Three in the 6th inning to top Marysville-Getchell 4-1
Stanwood scores 3 in the 6th to take a 4-1 lead. It was a lead off single by Luke Brennen that started the inning for Stanwood. Followed by a walk Then a single by Jaxson Beard that set the plate for Conner Clifton who hit a two RBI single, and Conner Clifton who hit an RBI Double. Stanwood’s Pitching and defense held Marysville-Getchell to just one run. Spartans used three pitchers Gavin Morrow, Oscar Cabe, and Gavin Gehrman.
Stanwood Softball Hits Three Home Runs in a 10-2 win over the Monroe Bearcats.
It was a good day for the Stanwood Spartan’s on both sides of the plate in their 10-2 win over the Monroe Bearcats. The Spartan’s bats hit three home runs. The 1st by Reagan Ryan in the 1st inning. Later Addi Anderson, and Jordan Rancourt hit it over the fence. Addi went 3-for-4, at the plate, plus pitched the entire game, striking out 11 while allowing eight hits. Reagan Ryan went 3-for-4, two runs, led the Spartans offense with three RBI.
Stanwood Spartans Baseball team comes from behind to defeat the Everett Seagulls 3-2
Tanner Requa came to the plate in the bottom of the 7th inning with the Spartans down 2-1 to the Seagulls. Stanwood had runners on 2nd and 3rd, Tanner hit a single to tie the game. Later in the inning, with the bases loaded, Luke Brennan drew a walk that brought in the winning RBI. Spartans sweep the Seagulls and go to 6-0 in the Wesco North and 12-2 overall.

The Spartans had home runs from Addi Anderson Jordan Rancourt and winning pitcher Megan Stulc to get the win over Mountlake Terrace.

It was a good all around performance for the Stanwood Spartan Baseball team. Tanner Requa pitched his 3rd shut out in a row, and the Spartan Bats came alive for 8 runs. Connor Clifton went 3-3 with two singles and a solo Home Run. As the Spartans shut out the Othello Huskies 8-0.
Mount Vernon Wins “Battle of the Bridge” defeats Burlington-Edison 6-4
Good day at the plate for Mt Vernon’s Xavier Neyens, He hit a 2 RBI home run to right to put Mount Vernon up 6-3 over the Burlington Edison Tigers . Neyens would end up going 2-for-2 with the home run, double, two RBI and three runs scored,, while teammate Brady Collins was 2-for-3 with a run scored.
