Stanwood cruises past Chargers for first Wesco win
The Spartans (1-0, 3-1) wasted no time securing their first league win of the season, sweeping the Chargers (0-1, 1-4) at home.
Whitney Longspaugh powered the offense with a team-high nine kills while also contributing eight digs on the defensive end. Harper Neyens matched Longspaugh with eight digs of her own, giving Stanwood a steady back-row presence.
The Spartans’ attack ran smoothly through setters Addison Bowie and Addy Schuh, who combined for 29 assists — Bowie with 18 and Schuh with 11. Lyla Henken led the team with nine digs, helping Stanwood control the floor and keep the Chargers out of rhythm.
