Stanwood Rallies Past Everett for 2-1 Victory

The Stanwood Spartans came from behind to defeat the Everett Seagulls 2-1 in a key Wesco North matchup. The win improves Stanwood to 6-3 in league play, solidly placing them in third and in strong position for the upcoming district tournament.

Everett struck first, but Stanwood answered late in the first half when Kendall Rhodes scored the tying goal off a sharp cross from Georgia Lenz. The Spartans completed the comeback in the second half as Kyler Burke delivered a pinpoint cross from deep in the corner to Gracelynn Ryan, who finished for the go-ahead goal.

Stanwood’s defense held firm the rest of the way, securing an important late-season win.
