Balanced Scoring Powers Stanwood Past Cascade, 63–42

Stanwood used balanced scoring and strong defense to pull away for a 63–42 win over the Cascade Bruins, controlling the game from start to finish.

The Spartans set the tone early with energy on both ends of the floor. Rece Green knocked down a three-pointer to spark the offense, and Jayden Abel followed with a steal and lay-in that fueled a quick five-point swing and forced Cascade to regroup. Stanwood continued to push the pace, getting quality looks in transition and moving the ball effectively in the half court.

Kam Gleaves added to the momentum with a fast-break lay-in after a sharp pass from Green, highlighting the Spartans’ unselfish play. Multiple players contributed on the scoreboard as Stanwood steadily built its lead, making it difficult for Cascade to mount a comeback.

Defensively, the Spartans applied pressure and limited second-chance opportunities, keeping the Bruins from finding any sustained rhythm. By the second half, Stanwood’s depth and consistency began to show, allowing the Spartans to extend the margin and close out the game comfortably.

With contributions coming from across the roster, Stanwood secured a convincing 63–42 victory over Cascade.
