Stanwood dominates Everett with decisive third-quarter run

Stanwood used a dominant third quarter to pull away from Everett, cruising to a 58-35 league victory on Tuesday night. After a competitive first half, the Spartans erupted for an 18-0 run coming out of halftime, turning a close game into a comfortable win. Stanwood’s defense set the tone during the surge, forcing turnovers and limiting Everett’s scoring opportunities as the Seagulls struggled to find rhythm.

Stella Berrett and Ellalee Wortham led the Spartans with 14 points apiece as Stanwood improved to 12-3 overall and 5-1 in league play. Everett fell to 8-7 overall and 3-3 in league action, unable to recover after the decisive third-quarter stretch. Stanwood maintained control the rest of the way, continuing to pressure defensively and execute offensively to seal the win.
